VALÉRIE LEVACHER
Valérie is a doctoral student in public health, co-directed by Rosanne Blanchet and Malek Batal. Her research project focuses on the dietary quality of temporary migrant workers in Quebec's agri-food sector.
Valérie obtained a bachelor's degree in nutrition from the Université de Montréal and is currently a member of the Ordre des diététistes-nutritionnistes du Québec. She also completed a master's degree in public health with the same supervisors, focusing on the social determinants of ultra-processed food consumption among Black children of African and Caribbean descent in Ottawa. During her studies, she has committed to choosing work and volunteering opportunities that prioritize social mobilization. These experiences have strengthened her interest in food security, social inequalities in health and health promotion. |
