VALÉRIE LEVACHER
Valérie is a master's student in public health and is conducting her research project under the co-supervision of Rosanne Blanchet and Malek Batal. Her project involves a secondary analysis of quantitative data focusing on the Social Determinants of diet quality among children of Black African and Caribbean descent in Ottawa. Additionally, she is actively engaged in the analysis of qualitative data for the study titled "Racial/ethnic inequities in diet quality and health during the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada: Trends, experiences, and policy solutions."
Valérie earned a bachelor's degree in nutrition from the Université de Montréal and is currently a member of the Ordre des diététistes-nutritionnistes du Québec. Throughout her academic and professional journey, she has consistently prioritized roles and volunteer commitments that place social mobilization at the core of their objectives. These experiences have further fueled her passion for food security, social inequalities in health, and health promotion.
