SOPHIE MARTIN
Sophie is an intern at CIENS and is currently finishing her Master's degree in Public Health (global health option) at the Université de Montréal's School of Public Health. She previously graduated from a bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering at Polytechnique Montréal in 2022. At the end of her bachelor's degree, Sophie developed a keen interest in international cooperation, which led her to pursue a degree in global health. She subsequently worked as a community health officer with a Senegalese partner in 2022, and with the Canadian Partnerships for Health and Nutrition in 2023. Sophie aspires to use her knowledge for the benefit of global health equity.
In her spare time, Sophie enjoys the outdoors, camping and climbing. She also has a passion for cooking and local markets, and a green thumb for growing her many plants.
