KIANA HAGERTY
Kiana is a public health intern at CIENS, currently completing her master’s degree in public health in the global health option at Université de Montréal’s School of Public Health. She has a background in nutrition, graduating from the bachelor’s degree in dietetics and human nutrition from McGill University in December 2019, and has been practicing as a dietitian in acute care for 4 years now. Her interest in preventative and international nutrition led her to study global health to further develop these skills. For her internship, she will be working on projects that look at the relationship between agriculture and health of vulnerable populations. Kiana is passionate in learning more about how the determinants of health affect eating habits and the overall health of populations. Outside of work and school, she enjoys weight training, cycling, running, exploring Montreal’s food scene, and travelling.
