NICOLAS TUESTA

Nicolas is a Peruvian intern at CIENS and is currently finishing his master’s degree in public health (Health Promotion) at Université de Montreal. He previously graduated with a bachelor’s degree in health sciences at University of Ottawa in 2022.
During his bachelor's degree, Nicolas got involved in several volunteering projects such as MEDLIFE and uOttawa’s Health Promotion services and developed a keen interest in the educational aspect of health as well as the social aspect of medicine.
This led him to pursue a degree in public health and health promotion. He subsequently worked as a community health ambassador in Ottawa before moving to Montreal to work at the CHUM and McGill’s School of Nursing in research. Nicolas aspires to build relationships and optimize any procedures allowing society to have a better understanding and control of their own health and wellbeing.
In his spare time, Nicolas enjoys dancing salsa and bachata professionally as well as drawing realistic art for his future art show/exhibit. He also has a passion for cooking, working out and anything involving the outdoors!
