KHARISSE ADUAYI-AKUE

Kharisse is a doctor of medicine with a PhD in human medicine obtained in 2021 from the Latin American School of Medicine in Cuba. Passionate about public health and the links between the environment and human well-being, she is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Public Health, with a specialization in environmental health.
As an intern with the Utz K'aslemal project at CIENS, Kharisse is exploring the complex links between food, health and the environment. She is particularly interested in the impact of pesticides on people's health.
Dynamic and curious, Kharisse combines scientific rigor with an open mind. Outside her research, she enjoys traveling, discovering new cultures and learning new languages.
