CIENS is collaborating with UdeM International and several partners in Canada, Senegal and Burkina Faso as part of the ELUZO project. ELUZO is an international cooperation project dedicated to improving community health and promoting the equitable empowerment of women and girls in Senegal and Burkina Faso. By implementing a “One Health” approach, the project partners, with funding from Global Affairs Canada (GAC), seek to support women livestock farmers in their fight against zoonoses.
Eleven community and university partners from Senegal, Burkina Faso and Canada are working together to reflect on and develop practices for preventing and diagnosing zoonoses in livestock environments. The collaboration between researchers and partners mobilizes diverse expertise in epidemiology, public health, veterinary medicine and environmental sciences.
